PLEASE SHOVEL OUT YOUR HYDRANTS - AND LET US KNOW ABOUT IT!

We ask all residents to please make sure the fire hydrants near their property is shovel out, so that the firefighters can see and hook up to the hydrant in the event of a fire. E-mail Chief O'Donnell of the location of your Hydrant and if you shovelled it out. Thank You. todonnell@norristown.org

As the Norristown Fire Department escaped the first snow storm with few problems, they did respond to a house fire in the 200 Blk of Chain Street on Superbowl Sunday, just an hour before the big game. The fire was contained to a second floor hallway. No one was injuried including 7 dogs which were saved from the house. Water to fight the fire was not a problem because the fire hydrant was shoveled out.
