Saturday, April 21, 2012 Norristown Firefighters, along with King of Prussia and Penn Wynne Firefighters, spent the day training in trench rescue. Training took place in the Elmwood Park Area.  The training involved shoring up the sides of a trench, then digging out the victim of a collapsed ditch. It is considered one of the most dangerous rescue operations to complete. These three departments make up the Montgomery County Southeastern Technical Rescue Taskforce, which continually train and respond to technical rescues in the area.
