Saturday, January 19, 2013 Norristown's Ladder 27 from the Fairmount, was on the initial dispatch for a dwelling fire with entrapment, on Sterigere Street in West Norriton. With the crew from Norristown arriving at the scene first, and without the protection of a hose line, FF Robert Myers and FF Andy Pyles entered the home to conduct the search. With intense heat in the structure, they located the victim and brought her to safety, where she was flown to a trauma center in the city. Additional crews from Norristown were also called to the scene where they assisted in bringing the fire under control.
