VALOR AWARDS
Date:
6/5/07
Firefighter Jim Lentz and Plymouth Ambulance Paramedic Rob Gordon received Valor Awards at Norristown's Municipal Council Meeting for their actions at a vehicle/building fire on May 19, 2007. Firefighter Lentz was at the intersection of Main and Ford Streets when a vehicle crashed into the gas meters attached to a strip mall. As the gas lines ruptured and ignited the vehicle and building, and as electrical line above started arcing, Firefighter Lentz, with the help of Paramedic Rob Gordon, risked their own lives and pulled the female victim from the burning vehicle and to safety. The Norristown Fire Department congratulates Jim Lentz and Rob Gordon.
