Erik DeLapp
Erik is a firefighter with the Montgomery. He was the first person to join the department after contacting us from the website; and is now State Certified. He was born in Fairfield, Ca. He likes Pizza and the movie Super Troopers. His first major fire was the Town & Country fire.

HALLOWEEN PARADE / FIRE PREVENTION DEMO
Date: 10/27/07 On Saturday, October 27th, the Norristown Recreation Committee and the Norristown Fire Department will present the annual Halloween Parade and Fire Prevention Demo. Participants are asked to meet at the Bocce Courts, Harding and Coolidge Blvds at 12:30pm. Parade begins at 1:00pm. At the end of judging, each participant will receive a hot dog and drink. Firefighters will hand out candy and demonstrate fire prevention activities.
BASEMENT FIRE
Date: 10/23/07 At 5:30pm Norristown Firefighters responded to 28 Stanbridge St. for a basement fire. Initial interior crews quickly extinguished the fire. While Norristown and Swedeland firefighters were overhauling the scene, East Norriton covered a gas leak at 1100 W. Main St. East Norriton, King of Prussia and Bridgeport also covered a building fire at Sandy Hill Terrace, where burnt food filled the 4th floor hallway with heavy smoke. No one was injured at any of the fires and all crews were back in stations by 7:30pm.
ROOF FIRE ON ARCH STREET
Date: 10/17/07 At 7:30pm, firefighters from the Norristown Fire Department and East Norriton Fire Company responded to 1220 Arch St for a roof fire. A first floor porch roof was on fire and had extended thru the second floor interior wall. The fire was quickly knocked down. No one was injured and firefighters worked for about two hours overhauling and investigating the cause.
