Erik DeLapp
Erik is a firefighter with the Montgomery. He was the first person to join the department after contacting us from the website; and is now State Certified. He was born in Fairfield, Ca. He likes Pizza and the movie Super Troopers. His first major fire was the Town & Country fire.

DAYTIME DWELLING
Date: 11/19/07 At 12:45 pm, Norristown Firefighters were dispatched to 514 Norris Street for a dwelling fire. Heavy fire was showing from the first floor as firefighters arrived. Initial crews made a quick knockdown of the fire. The building was reported to be vacant.
FATAL APARTMENT FIRE
Date: 11/8/07 At 12:50am, the Norristown Fire Department was dispatched to a building fire at 1432 Arch St, The Town and Country Apartments. Police were on scene immediately and notified dispatch that people were jumping from the 3rd floor of the building and that explosions were occurring. One victim did not make it out alive, however, police and fire fighters did rescue many of the occupants. Numerous fire companies from Montgomery County assisted in bringing the fire under control. Three Norristown Fire Fighters were injured. Fire Fighters remained on the scene for 12 hours.
NEWEST NORRISTOWN FIREFIGHTER SWORN IN
Date: 11/7/07 The Norristown Fire Department swore in its newest Fire Fighter, David Hicks, during ceremonies at Norristown Municipal Hall. Fire Fighter Hicks had previously worked for the Pottstown Fire Department. The Norristown Fire Department congratulates Fire Fighter Hicks on his appointment.
